The vast majority of parents find themselves at a loss when trying to help their children deal with any grieving experience that impacts them. This 4-week program is designed to teach parents, and others who work with children, the necessary tools to help children effectively deal with their broken hearts, no matter the loss they are facing. This is where it started with all of us who have ever suffered any kind of loss. A death, a divorce, moving, loss of a pet, loss of health & safety, etc. Many of our children don't truly have the ability to know exactly what they're feeling inside, so sometimes, they'll complain their tummy hurts, or their head hurts. Grief can, and will effect children physically if it goes undetected. This course teaches parents how to effectively help their children when loss occurs. You'll be given to tools to know what to say and do to help you precious child heal their broken heart. Many times, we, as parents, fall into the the same traps that we were taught about loss. It's not that our own parents didn't care, it's that they didn't have the right tools at that time. So, they told us things like, "Don't feel bad. Here, have a cookie, you'll feel better." Remember when either you or your best friend moved across town? Maybe you, like most of us, were told, "Don't cry, you will find another best friend. You'll just have to give it some time." We all created a little "Hurt Pocket" that we stuffed our feelings and emotions into to try to allow time to heal our hearts. Eventually, that hurt pocket became a backpack and now we all had a bigger space in which to carry all those hurts. Before you go purchase that U-Haul, come and learn how to help your child with loss and break those unhealthy patterns. This course is not available to anyone under the age of 18 years.
